Our Self-Written Obituaries – Srajan Bhatnagar, Noida Farewell Notice by The Delhi Walla - March 13, 20180 The 186th death. [Text and photos sent by Srajan Bhatnagar] As the Metro carriage drew into the shed, retired for the night, the cleaners saw the dead body of 23 year old Srajan Bhatnagar, still standing, still holding the overhead support railing. The body had become stiff, thanks to Delhi’s December chill, but its decaying odour was overwhelmed by the tempting smell of biryani, emanating from his lunchbox. Mr Bhatnagar is survived by his vast collection of Ruskin Bond books, his catalogue of photographs, and his unabashedly poor sense of humour. His memorial service will be held at his Beloved IMAX cinema in suburban Noida, and will be followed by a screening of all his favourite Bollywood films, in accordance with his wishes. His epitaph will read: “As is a tale, so is life.” Our Self-Written Obituaries invites people to write their obituary in 200 words. The idea is to share with the world how you will like to be remembered after you are gone. (May you live a long life, of course!) Please mail me your self-obit at mayankaustensoofi@gmail.com. 1.
